Hey guys!
If anyone of you who follow me reads this and are wondering what I've been up to as of late (not that you should) I've been pretty much absorbed in earning a living by working at a call centre, gaining muscle at the gym and have been developing my biggest project. My very own Light Novel series!
I've been writing fanfictions for quite a long time now on sites such as fanfiction.net and fimfiction and have been getting fairly positive responses. My grammar is decent and my storytelling seems to be to people's liking. I've been a fan of Anime and Manga since I was about 15-16 and I've been blown away by these grand visually pleasing masterpieces such as the works of Studio Madhouse, Studio Bones, Kyo-Ani, old classics like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Hokuto no Ken, Berserk and classic Shonens such as One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach. Even comedic gold like Ranma 1/2, GTO and Konosuba who have a more universal sense of humour have earned my respect.
However, I've also been thoroughly disappointed by the number of worn-out animes and manga that have been regurgitated at me. Mainly in School and Harem animes (if we disregard the Isekais that only have some good ones like Tate no Yuusha and Konosuba). The bland male protagonist, the sadistic girls that seem to enjoy hurting him, the cringe unimaginative comedy, the way they act more like aliens than people. And the tired tropes! It's all so unrelatable! It cannot connect with the common Weeb! Well, you know what? I want to show a new spin on these tropes! Bring on the Tsunderes, high school life and Ecchi fanservice! I want to take all that overplayed stuff and turn it on its head!
Least to say from what I just gave away, yes it will be a high school story. Revolving on a boy-meets-girl plot point. It will heavily focus on the hardships of teenage social life, light-hearted comedy, and sprinkle in just a wee bit of fan service with a new perspective on everything.
I've already gotten the whole story mapped out, beginning to end. I want to make 3 volumes and start it out as a web-novel which I will publish the links on here. I've got about 30 pages worth of ideas and scenes for chapters written down and am in the middle of chapter 2. Once I complete the first 3 chapters, I plan to publish it here with a rough cover art included so you'd know what the main characters look like. The summary of Volume 1 is ready so you know what you're getting into. I'm thinking of posting it sometime during September.
Now here's where I need some advice. I honestly want people to enjoy this work to the fullest. But the thing is that with me primarily posting furry lewds and faving such, I don't think it's good to expose so much of my private stuff to the mainstream public. So I'm thinking of creating a new DeviantArt account and posting all of my Light Novel and anime-related stuff there. Do you think it's the best move? I'll probably submit a Journal here with a link to my new work with a summary and everything. It will reroute you to my actual submission page which will contain a Google Drive link with a pdf file.
Let me know what you guys think. If you've read this huge wall of text without clicking away that is.
